Those tags were my doing. Sowwy. I just thought it was funny how they almost spell "Moronic" and "Sanrio," that cute, little Japanime store.

Sawnik. Haven't really enjoyed a Sonic game in a long while.

Galaxy, while terribly easy, was pretty fun for what it was. I haven't had a problem with most of the sports titles, either. Sure, they're whore material, but I've actually enjoyed most of them (Tennis and Strikers in particular). The only Mario games I don't like anymore are the Party titles and Kart titles.

Party - god, I don't even think I have to explain. There's a million of them and they're all the same, save for control schemes, but I'm not buying that crap. It's boring. I wish they'd end it already.

Kart - I just don't like them anymore. It's just that I think the series peaked already. Unlike Brawl, there's hardly any more characters they can put in, and, let's face it, they're pretty much the same, save for weight. As for concepts and such, let's look at what Mario Kart Wii has:

-Motorcycles: ...haha, you're kidding me. Barely an addition.
-12 player online: huge LOL at this one, given how Brawl already has huge issues online.
-Tricks: ...so?

It might be great, I don't know because I haven't played it, I just don't see what can be so drastically different with it in order to make it good. Besides that, the fact that Mario Kart DS bored me pretty quickly adds to my annoyance with the series.

I vote Sonic. The only Sonic game I didn't really like was Sonic Heroes, and the only Mario game I didn't really like was

I hear the 2D Sonic games were actually decent.

But I have never, ever, played a good Sonic game. Not even SA2. Lame-o-rama.

As for Mario, only his latest games are losing it. And that's not counting spinoffs.

Sonic 1 = one of the greatest games ever.
Or major nostalgia on my part

Most definitely Mario. Sonic maybe a badass, but Mario is the character everybody knows about.
Edit: Woops, looks like I'm in the same boat as Gruntling. ;D

So its the opposite, in that case, I'll go with Mario. The guy is just timeless, Sonic... he needs to get back on his tracks.

What Sonic Team should do:

Make Mario 64, slap Sonic in there, make it fast paced. Or something similar. I'm just really tired of these stupid obstacle course games. They get old fast.

I voted Sonic.

Wait, so you dislike Sonic for being like Mario. Wouldn't that mean you dislike Mario?

I think you misread my post. I'm saying that all they have to do to make a decent platformer is conform.

I'm saying I would like Sonic if it were more like Mario.
