When was Rare's last classic game?

Back in the day, Rare couldn't not create a classic game, Golden Eye is to this day considered by some as the greatest shooting game ever and Perfect Dark was considered awesome, Banjo, Conkers and Donkey Kong all threated, if not overtook (critacly atleast) Mario's throne. Even when the gamecube came along they created Star Fox Adventures, again critically compared to Zelda and another instanst classic.

But now look.

Grabbed by the Ghoulies is rembered for having Banjo Stop and swap messages.
Viva Pianata is a good game (apperntly) but again, nothing particuarly special.
Nuts and Bolts again, a excellent creative game, but again, nothing compared to its old counterparts.

Rare's highest rated game on Xbox 360 (I belive) is the re-make of Perfect Dark, and most reviewers rate the re-realeses of Banjo Kazooie/Toooie higher than NAB.

When did Rare stop creating classic? Was it Microsoft? Was it the increased FP'S? Was it a lack online muliplayer and map packs?

Nuts and Bolts is classic to me because it's the first vehicle-platformer I've played.

If I'm correct, it's the first and only vehicle-platformer

So VP is good, but at the same time nothing particularly special? What does that even mean?
Until you actually define why Banjo, Conker and DK64 (really?) are classics and Viva Pinata and N&B are not, I'm going to say the latter are.

The only game I didn't like that was from RARE, was Perfect Dark for the Gameboy Color.

Viva Pinata is the best game on Xbox 360, second best game Rare has created, and best life simulation of all time.
