If it's going to be the main Mario 3D game for the WiiU you can expect it's going to be something completely new! Why would an ancient beta that won't make use of the new controller features be the main Mario game for the WiiU? It makes no sense... So you already KNOW you're going to be disappointed... And I won't even talk about graphics because it seems the "better" they get, in your vision graphics are getting "worse"... I'll just remind you that the WiiU is more powerful than the original Wii... So prepare to be disappointed in double because the graphics ARE going to be better... There's no reason for it not to be... The hardware is already there! The simple fact it is more powerful than the Wii, GCN and N64 is enough reason for you to never buy one... The maximum you can hope is that Nintendo releases their beta games...

Because it's not gimmicky and unnecessary? You already have a good platform to work with when talking about Mario 64. Innovation doesn't have to be fixated on how you control a game, but also the content of the game itself.

I agree with this point-of-view - gamers are spoiled in the visual department and we treat most titles like garbage in this respect - but that's not terribly important or relevant here.

Just to make things clear... I actually hate Nintendo's current business practices... I am not a nintendo fanboy, what I have is some kind of hatred against nostalgic, oldschool bigoted people... From a nostalgic person point of view they're superior "enlightened beings" with superior tastes and smarter than most people... That's exactly why Yiffgurl didn't want to argue against me because she wants to pretend to be "enlightened", "superior" and etc and also maybe because arguing is painful, it causes people to become anxious, unstable and things like that... I know I am horrible with arguments and I would always avoid arguing to preserve my image... But I grew tired of that... I wanted to show the world my flaws... To hate and to be hated... Haha, well you're in luck, because I'm pretty confident it will be one of those .

I was pretty disappointed with the first Mario Galaxy, but loved the second. Nintendo mentioned that they were able to make SMG2 more difficult, because people were warmed up to the franchise by the first one. I hope that if the next Mario game is part of a new set (NOT Mario Galaxy 3), that they don't go into it with the mentality of "We have to make the game easier to bring everybody up to speed with this installment."

Kind of relevant, but I played New Super Mario Bros. WiiU yesterday, that game is too floaty for my liking. (I imagine I'd get used to the physics, but I just couldn't get over it) so next Mario game should basically, just not be that, let's tighten it up a bit. (maybe they could learn a thing or two from Super Meat Boy, idk)

Of course if it's a proper 3D Mario game, as long as it's fun as SMG, I don't really mind what they do.

Actually, FLUDD was designed to make use of the Gamecubes pressure based shoulder buttons. The harder you press the more powerful the water stream.

While it's true that Sony and Microsoft are not going to bring any huge leap in technology, they're just going to use the technology that is already currently being used, actually I think they won't even make use of the latest technology "22nm", they'll probably stay with "32nm" or maybe even "45nm"... , I must say that the WiiU actually is weak for today standards... Nintendo cares more about the controller than the console itself... They made the console itself cheaper just because of the tablet controller... Based on what I know about it, I can say that Sony and Microsoft consoles are probably going to be considerably more powerful and bigger than the WiiU not just "slightly above"... It's like a "DéjÃ* vu" of the 7th generation... Sony and Microsoft with huge consoles and Nintendo with a smaller console, only this time the difference is not as big as between the Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360... You can see the WiiU is larger than the Wii... Now when it comes to "60 frames per second" I can say that it depends... Even the WiiU hardware can run a game with graphics like Half Life 2 with more than 100 frames per second... But not a game like Assassin's creed 3 at 100FPS or even 60FPS for example... So it depends... And no I'm not hoping for Sony and Microsoft to make consoles more powerful than the WiiU... I just think they probably will... And I'm not taking sides or defending my enemy Yiffgurl... I'm just attempting to predict a possible future...
