At least we know something about CAFF now. ^^

Problem is, the music DOESN'T use the CAFF header. Forgot to post that.
Instead, this keeps coming back...

The music is stored in .xwb files (XACT Wave Bank). On Xbox 360 you have a choice to compress them as XMA which is a format specific to the 360 hardware. This is used because the console has a hardware XMA decoder, so it can decode audio in it's sleep. In addition to XMA, it can also use standard PCM 8bit and 16bit audio which are the ones that you have found.
