Goldeneye XBLA Files Surface
Recently files for the canceled Goldeneye project for xbox live arcade under the Projects codename "Bean" have surfaced online.
Searching through the files and cross referencing them with the goldeneye setup editor the files seem genuine from what has been known from the project so far the fact that the files are floating around are pretty mind boggling honestly. One interesting thing to note, is that the files seem to have been propagated 13 days prior to the leak that happened on the Penny Arcade Forums in 2007. Along with the files new screenshots have also emerged

Thanks for sharing. 4J did a really nice job of translating the art style to HD. Always tough to see new leaks, would have been something else to play.

I'm wondering if "Bean" might be a reference to Robin Beanland. I know he's just a composer but eh.

Maybe someone will be able to run the game via hacking patch like recently Tomb Raider 10th Anniversary Edition leak.

From what has been gathered, that video aswell as the 12 minute video that was recently released. is from this specific build, atleast the video build is prior to the art pass adding the higher poly truck model for dam and possibly other fixes aswell. Hopefully something playable will come out of these files. Another interesting fact was a $5,000 bounty was placed in July and 6 days after the bounty being posted on Obscure Gamers before being removed entirely aswell as the user deleting the profile, (being a vip member aswell) is when the folders were propagated which makes things even more fishy. The post stated that the bounty aimed for a public release Goldeneye 007 XBLA ("Bean"): $5,000 ^^^^

It could be pretty good gem in 2007-2008. Now its too late for Mr. Bond 4J did amazing work with Perfect Dark in 2010. It was more than only just HD remaster.
I think that soon Goldeneye XBLA will be playble in some form. |

I would post the whole file link but i don't think that would be a great idea lol. if anyone thinks they are skilled enough in cracking the passcode we can talk in PM's. I'm sure either whoever these files are meant to go to will have something released in the future. but when that future is I have no idea lol

It would have sold significantly well, possibly more so than they would have imagined. this is something i was obsessed with back when i first learned about it, so any sort of information worth sharing i will do so.

Acouple things to note that I have noticed that may be good in the future for people that will want to play this,
Seeing as the files at the moment are set up for developer units, it would not be a bad idea to look for a 360 that is modded and putting RGLoader on the system may possibly be a workaround without having to shell out $800 on a XDK Dev unit. Also Seeing as there seems to be support for system link, Using a program called Xlink Kai could open the doors for this to be experienced online the way it was meant to be played.
