At the very least we may be able to expect a Tonic Trouble and Yooka-Laylee crossover announcement in 2019, a spinoff game focused on Vendi's history and the chaotic origins of her tonics. The writing is likely to be filled with even more self-deprecation humor about N64stalgia from Playtonic's team, expanding to also take friendly shots at Ubisoft, wherein characters in the game mock others--not for their lack of clothing this time, but for their floating limbs. Kirkhope's presence at the Ubisoft E3 panel is ever-possibly a harbinger for this collaboration's arrival.
