Damn so they currently have zero projects in production now...again.
Rare really can't catch a break. Going with Microsoft might have been the worst thing that ever happened to us. I mean it's great for them, I'm sure they make all they need with Sea of Thieves but it's a damn shame.

The MS sale was a shame, but I think Rare also just struggled as a studio to adapt to bigger development teams. All of their games after the N64 were kind of bad... I loved Viva Pinata, but that's about it.
Obviously that all happened around the same time as the sale, but the whole culture of small siloed teams trying to one-up each other can't have scaled too well... The sense of fun and collaboration on those small teams really bled through into their games, and it's hard to recreate that in a bigger team, maybe?
