I used to actually have nightmares about MMM and BK's game over scene. It's weird, MMM is the only spooky themed world in a video game I'm still creeped out by. I've never had this problem with the Boo world in SM64 or with the graveyard in Kakariko Village in LOZOoT.

Things that scared me in the Banjo games:
  • Snacker
  • The Rippers
  • The cat enemies meowing in Targitzan's Temple
  • The alarm in Grunty Industries that awakens the Tintop Drones
  • That sound the Mum-Mums make

I wouldn't say I'm "scared" of him, but it's a bit tense when he shows up.

Clanker is a little menacing when he first speaks to you, considering you're viewing him up ahead through a pipe and he's rearing back, exposing his jaws, and lunging rapidly towards you...

That's the only thing about him that slightly unnerved me, though...

Snacker really freaked me out as a kid, and I still like to pretend that there isn't a watery aspect to TTC, but I'm not afraid of him anymore.

Snacker really didn't creep me out. The shrapnel did though. You know what else did? The beavers in wheels in Donkey Kong Country where they followed you.

For some reason, people were afraid of the giant eel in Super Mario 64... I didn't understand that one.

What really freaked me out from DKC were the Rockkrocs from Stop and Go Station. They scary. The giant eel appeared in a dream of mine once. I was never freaked out by it though.

Snacker never bothered me.

Actually, the blowfish enemies in Jolly Roger's Lagoon are what made me so afraid of underwater levels in video games. Not the Unagi from SM64, not Clanker, not Snacker, not the damn starfishes from DK64, but those stupid little blowfish that liked bursting in front of the scene and then exploding. Unlike GoldenJiggies, however, I overcame this fear.

Almost all of the enemies in JRL are creepy. The seeweed, the puffer fish, the octopus, the... weird alien thing, even the invicible fish are weird.

Oh man, all of those FPS sections were pretty great when you were a kid because the first two have a somewhat dark environment. I remember if I played it on a Saturday morning and had to deal with an annoying glare, I was terrified to do those sections because stuff would have a much easier time sneaking up on me, and the hats in some of the Glitter Gulch Mine room's were pretty much stealthed. And I am also still bothered by those blowfish.
