You people are all really weird for thinking this is some pinnacle of musical perfection, ESPECIALLY when Toby Fox has produced literally multiple dozen music pieces that are easily WAY more interesting and beautifully composed than Megalovania. It's just....good. That's it, it's fine. Frankly very mid for one of Toby's tracks.

I think it's just overwanked. Still a great song, but there are quite a few better bops in Undertale alone. Undyne's Genocide theme comes to mind.

That said, I think it's pretty cool how Toby's stuff always seems to transpose well into remixes, Megalovania not withstanding. RichaadEB's covers sound like they were the way the song is supposed to sound in spite of them not being such and all of the "Megalovania but it's just the first beat" type deals always sound... proper? Not bad? It's an interesting quality

Undertale is one of my favorite games of all time. I played it the day it came out in like two sessions and had a great time.

The music is pretty good, but the best thing about UT/DR is the Gaster mystery and the hidden lore. Seriously, the mystery is the closest thing gamers have to SnS theories in this modern day.

As a battle theme, Asgore > Megalovania, but the latter still has a special place in my heart for being Aradia and/or Vriska's theme before Sans stole it. It'll always be a Homestuck song to me.
