Easy Solution:

Seaman Grublins were introduced in Treasure Trove Cove first instead of Rusty Bucket Bay.
Therefore, Rare removed these guys from our final game when the site is simply saying "Remember these guys from Treasure Trove Cove?"

So your saying they could have been in previous beta photos or videos that rare had released, and then Rare changed them?

Wow, nice finding runhero.
I found this from an old B-K website. I don't know if it has been posted before, so well. It seems that, according with this, Blackeye was the captain of the Rusty Bucket and he was named Blackbeard:

^ i don't think that has anything to do with Blackeye. Blackbeard is a generic pirate name

Was there ever a knocker door right next to grunty in the final version? That doesn't look like the same room from the final version.

Another thing. If banjo's walls were still wooden when it was nearly complete, then the DK picture had to be in until it was almost done. This was around jan 1998, just a couple months before BK was released.

It sucks there is no nintendo or Rare archive for E3.

Yeah, it's there. It's the one she runs through. Though the background in that pic is way different. In fact it almost reminds me of a castle.....[smacks hint all over the floor]

What about Blackeye as the captain? I mean, in BT he's complaining about that Banjo stole his glory by taking the pink egg or something. In the room where he is, there is a picture of inside the island with the pink egg and TCC. Blackeye and his crew
were maybe going to do something with the egg, take it or w/e, but Banjo and Kazooie came before them. Just a thought

"Kazooie spits an explosive egg!"

...Aren't explosive eggs only in Tooie?
