yea I am on the elite 4 and I’m just done
the capturing mechanic is horrible I spent a good 4 hours trying to catch that damn anchor ghost and only came across it about 4 times!

So my local Anime Tattoo shop is doing a Flash sale with all the Pokemon. It originally started with only doing the fist 151 and I guess they had so many people ask about the others the shop decided all artist in shop will do all pokemon that day instead and they will do duplicates instead of here is the list of designs and first come first serve.

I know i am messing it up now by posting but Alakazam has made post 151.

Moon (and I suppose by extension Sun) was very very hand hold-y at the beginning, but afterwards it did get better... though trying to play Ultra Moon a year later, and I just... I don't like it as much.
I think my biggest gripe is the multiple island system- because instead of one big region it's four smaller islands, each island feels very constricted. You have to go to this place, then this place, then this place. You can't really explore too much, and because you're stuck on one island until the story progresses, it feels very cramped. I know past games had their structured paths, too, but at least, like, there was still a lot of space to explore and if your path was blocked it's usually just an HM. You can't go to this area yet because you need to surf across the water. You can't go through this tunnel yet because you need rock smash, etc. It feels more natural than... a group of guys blocking off the way to a bridge because you're not supposed to go there yet (Black and White), or trying to explore a town but the friend character won't let you until you go to this building and then this building (Sun and Moon).
I liked Moon the first time around (though I had to force myself to beat the Elite Four and do the Ultra Beast post-game stuff) but trying to do it again in UltraMoon is definitely pointing out some of its larger flaws....

XY is such a vague blur to me. I know I played it and beat it but I don't remember much from it aside from "You like Gen I so much right? We put in Snorlax and the PokeFlute! And Mewtwo in a cave post game! And most of the Mega Evolutions are Gen I! Please love this game too!!!" They did similar with SunMoon, in that all of the Alolan variants are Gen I as well. I GET it, but.. I wanted to see other regions get representation too. At least I finally got my Gen III remakes..! Which I spent double the time I spent with Y on, haha

Oh yea OR/AS were fantastic! I liked the XY region but I wish it was a better game I wanted a Z but that never happened

I guess some people didn't like ORAS? I admit they didn't add as much as maybe HGSS but there was still a lot of good stuff with the Deoxys mission and the expanded Kyogre Groudon story. My biggest gripe was that the Battle Frontier was "coming soon" and then we never got anything with it.

Sapphire is a very important game for me so the remake being good was a big deal and I thought it was very good.

The XY series was far far above the Black and white series and Sun and Moon was getting pretty good!
