Did you actually extract the text from the ROM or find the text within the memory after it was being emulated? If it's the first, then was the text not compressed?

I extracted all of the files from ROM. They are compressed using the same compression method as Goldeneye. Once they decompressed you can view the binary file and see the text. Nothing to do with emulators, dealing with the RAW data.

It's a port I did from MrHTTFord's original decompressor (in Python) for Goldeneye to C++ (it's a class), and I wrote the little thing that used it to decompress the ROM.

It can be available to interested parties who I believe can make use of it, if they drop me an email. I should probably refine the class to also include compression before I do however.
