Technically is BK and BT the spin offs?
Technically speaking, could BK/BT be viewed as a spin off, and Nuts and Bots be more of the core than the other way around?
Yes its wierd, and I don't 100% agree with it myself but if you look at the games banjo has been in: Diddy Kong Racing - vehicle based BK - foot based Platforming BT - foot based Platforming Grunty's Revenge - foot based Platforming Banjo Pilot - vehicle based Nuts and Bolts - vehicle based Sega's All Star Racing - vehicle based Add them up and Banjo's been in 4 games with a vehicle focus, and 3 with a foot based platforming, also as Banjo's first appearance was in Diddy Kong in terms of release this add a little weight to this argument. |

Rare only threw him in DKR, BK was already in development. Just a character... Same goes for Sega racing.

It's called the BANJO-KAZOOIE SERIES and the first game is called BANJO-KAZOOIE and the second game is called BANJO-TOOIE (Twoie).
This idea is wrong. |

Banjo's appearance in Sega allstar racing counts as much as Link appearing in Soul Calibur II. That he appears doesn't make it 'his game'.
Banjo-Pilot was said to be a spinoff by rare. And his appearance in Diddy Kong Racing is, quite frankly, exactly the same as what I mentioned above with Sega Allstars Racing and SCII. No, BK/BT/BKGR and BKNAB were the main series, BP was a spinoff and SASR and DKR were just cameos.

While Banjo's Origins were a dream on foot, Banjo's first game was a kart game, and that counts for somthing.

Dang...but the fans remember the games FOR the platforming, a even so the games follow a pattern; platform, platform, platform, vehicle, vehicle, vehicle.

I think BK and BT would be considered the main series since they are the most well known. Diddy Kong Racing and Sonic Racing are not exactly even in the series, but are games that feature Banjo. Interesting way to think of things though.

You make a good point.
(For everyone else: quit just saying "no". It's frustrating to shoot someone's idea down without proper reasoning.) |
