Banjo-Tooie Extended Theme
A couple months ago I posted this topic... and in the time since I've been meddling around with the BK/BT Sound Pack making a variety of things in my spare time.
Today I finally got off my arse and recreated that version of the theme. It's only taken me a few hours, which is annoying because I've spent all this time previously doing nothing Anyway, I thought I would share! Updated again! (Now with more spiffing quality!) Special thanks to BobbyTheCat for some much appreciated corrections! Banjo-Tooie Extended Theme Banjo-Tooie Extended Theme (With Kazoo) I'm hoping it's as close to the original as possible. I based it on the proper Banjo-Kazooie theme, and then used the MIDI I originally made as a reference for the rest. But since barely anybody remembers this version anyway, I'm probably safe It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it! This was a 100% recreation using FL Studio and the Banjo instruments found in the downloads section. I didn't source or sample anything else Last edited by Gold Jinjo; 20th February 2011 at 04:56 PM. |

This is awesome! I've been wondering when you would make the main theme... and you did it twice! It's nice to know that there's someone who makes great Banjo-Kazooie fan music who also keeps the same old style and instruments, even making original compositions, like Grunty Petroleum!
I hope to hear Spiral Mountain soon. That's the only major one I haven't heard from you, yet. |

I've been trying to think of a new original composition, but the direction I've decided on might work for a Spiral Mountain remix of sorts. |

All that's missing is the "Bweeeeoooo" transition at the end.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing. It's just not the same without it.

Haha, updated. I've added the "Bweeeeoooo" ... as well as the "Guh-huh!" beginning

I've always wondered why that "Gu-huh" is in the original music file out of all the other voices you hear in the intro. That one voice clip is the only one in the actual music file. |

Excellent! 10x better than my attempt. Spot on, except I couldn't help but notice 1 very super tiny small part that probably doesn't matter and no one will ever notice except me probably anyways. At the end of the first organ part, you put it as C C# D E, while in the original it's C D D# E.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_K4iG5-l5Q Again, this is a really, really small part that hardly matters, and maybe that's how it was in the original, I don't know. Anyways, great job!

Oh wow, I never noticed that C D D# E sounds a lot better too. That's quite suble, though, isn't it? Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I love learning little things like that. You know the kazoo part of the song that comes after the organ part? (Where it's just the banjo, kazoo, and marimba). That took me a while to learn. And with that, it's not so much the chords but rather how everything is arranged. It's fascinating stuff |
