of course that only happen at the mirror because if there is no mirror there is no reflection.

And the mirror doesn't need to touch the ground (I guess you know why)

Ha, saw this a while back. The reflection in the mirror is obviously not an actual reflection but another polygon model that copies your every move. So yeah, I don't see why it would work with walls 'cause there's nothing behind them.
