Ya know, I completely forgot about that entire 'freezer' or 'locker' or whatever...
I guess in theory it could have been something along the lines of a little joke or something to 'keep the ice key frozen' after being swapped over or something?? But Rune, I'm really hoping to hear what you find, if anything, when you get around to working on this project a bit more. |

Why do you even bother?
I looked at a couple of your threads here and your theories get shot down immediately. Take off the tin foil hat and stop trying. |

Here is a list of EVERY single thread I have posted since joining this forum: New Ending Scene of Banjo Kazooie in XBLA I Have An Extra XBLA Code, Anyone Want It? DLC, Is It Worth Getting? CycloDS Evolution DK64 and SNS Of the TWO theories I have posted on this board, the first one not only was accepted pretty well, it also actually happened when BK XBLA came out... This being the SECOND theory, I don't think it has really been shot down, it has had some other ideas that may refute it with time, *IF* more work goes into the game... But the FACT remains, all I did was posted a valid and feasible theory, with valid facts to back it up, and all I've hoped is that the people who have done more work into the idea than I have will be able to provide more insight - thus I don't see why you've got your panties in a bunch over it? So, Mr. Yum, unless you're referring to somebody else about this 'tin-foil hat' that you speak of, I highly suggest you get your head out of the mud and actually say something you can back up, especially about my 'theories [being] shot down immediately'. Sound fair? |

Why Rare would scrapped SNS between BK and DK64?
They used BK-DK64 SNS as test before they would make BK-BT SNS. It looks like that Bk-Dk64 SNS sucessfull because in Banjo-Tooie Tepid Seat (released AFTER DK64) they confirmed BK-BT SNS. Rare confirmed that they included SNS functions in Banjo-Tooie (but later Nintendo nixed them) so this is another proof that BK-Dk64 SNS worked perfectly. Now, thanks to Rune, we know that in final version of DK64 there is text ICE KEY 1/1. So are there chances that BK-Dk64 SNS still works? DK64 released BEFORE Rambus changed so SNS between BK and Dk64 would still works. Rare NEVER mentioned BK-Dk64 SNS or said that BK-Dk64 SNS was scrapped. |

I guess it just seems weird that Rare would have had some feature so intricate in the game and 'scrapped' it, especially seeing as the only mention of it in the game was the very small remnant like the Ice Key. I mean, up until the ice key discovery happened, it hadn't ever crossed my mind.
Pretty much that's why I still think it made sense that DK might have been used to test some of the features that were to eventually end up in Banjo Tooie...It's real exciting to see what Rune is coming up with, however. But even you said it yourself PL, Rare NEVER mentioned BK-DK64 SNS, so why does the ice key being in it mean that it is part of the final SNS that we may have eventually got? |

I think that they didn't include SNS link in DK64 (howewer they included all SNS data) because they expected that hackers would found it before Banjo-Tooie. So they coded SNS functions in Dk64 but only after link from Banjo-Tooie they would be activated.
