So, ever since Pikmin was released on the Gamecube in 2001, Nintendo kind of forgot to take off some of the dev stuff. We're not talking about regular beta shit, though. No, they kind of let something a bit crazier slip into the final release.

See, the people developing Pikmin had some files for a windows executable that they'd use to debug test the game on PC. When the game shipped, the files shipped with it, but nobody bothered to find a way to make them function until a few hours ago. You can't exactly play through all of Pikmin with a mouse and keyboard like you'd play the full game on the Gamecube, there's a ****ton of debug content and it generally just doesn't work right seeing as it was made purely for debugging purposes, but this is pretty crazy either way.

If this somehow in some way might possibly at all work with Pikmin 2 (which is almost certainly most definitely totally won't for a myriad of technical reasons but man i'm just sayin') and somehow allows custom player-made caves and challenges then **** yes

I saw one of the guys working on it post on a different forum and apparently they're poking into the model and animation program and shit now.

I haven't been able to make it work myself, but one of the other guys says that if you launch it with the right options and then go into the "TestScreen" option, it pops up a Pikmin in T pose, and every time you press a button, it emits a weird scream. There is no way to exit the mode. There is also no other audio in the game.
