Sonic Superstars
There's a new 2D Sonic game coming this fall:
I've never been a Sonic guy, but this looks appealing and I'm actually kind of excited for it. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy are all playable, and the art direction is pretty sleek and modern. I haven't seen a side-scroller this pretty since Impossible Lair. Now, it's being made by Arzest, so I'm tempering my expectations somewhat. And $60 is a bit much, considering Mania was only $20. Discuss.

It is hard enough to keep everyone on screen in New Super Mario Bros multiplayer. And Tails always was left in the dust in Sonic 2. I hope they have figured out a good way to keep local multiplayer fun, and not have everyone constantly in out-of-bounds bubbles like in NSMB.

People have been comparing the physics to the Genesis games and they're almost 1 to 1.
I'm very excited

Someone also noticed there's a conspicuous gap to the upper right of Sonic on the title screen, possibly hinting at another playable character:
It's gotta be Metal Sonic, right?

Philosophically, what is worse? To get no video games at all, like Banjo? Or to get occasional games that are always bad and cringe, like Sonic?

amy hasn't been playable in years. Her hammer is fun.

Amy and her hammer are underrated. Remember when the Sonic fandom preferred Sally from the SatAM cartoon? Dark times, man.
For that matter, I don't think this was ever a spicy take, but the classic designs of every single Sonic character beat the modern designs by a mile.
