That was his beta name, according to a German Preview video. As I said, I had done that change, but because it was inside of the checksum area, it would crash most emulators.

Nothing new to mention about my project yet. I promise, I will continue this when I get the time.

I wouldn't want to let a project of mine die. But, well, Rez is a really great game, and an even better one for hacking. And I have a beta to use for reference when I restore lost and unused content in that game.

It's harder to do that with Diddy Kong Racing...And I'll admit, I started this project when I was more or less a hacking n00b...But through this project I have picked up skills that I have been able to use across a broader range of games and systems.

And I have no betas to use for reference with DKR, just pre-release footage, along with anything unused we can find within the game (Those unused maps, that unused character select theme and the golden coins that are still intact are also helpful). But yes, I will continue this project, I just find I don't have a lot of time as of late.

Oh! maybe Taj was planned as playable character but he was replaced with T.T.

I shouldn't speculate too much about things though, don't want this project to become too much of a mix and match of speculation.

Why you don't rename Krunch to Krash and find the hex of the unused stuff of the video that i send to you? I'm trying to be helpful. Oh and also could you use the texture hack and the Banana on the HUD?

I was trying Rename Krunch to Krash but it wasn't working i also will contribute editing the bananas in HUD

You will have to use a Gameshark code to do it. Krunch's name is protected by the checksum. Editing it directly will prevent most programs running the game.

) was working on that HUD edit, but he encountered problems earlier in the thread.

Ok why you don't edit the ID replacing the orginal ID with the unused ID

I'd have to check with NintendoRARE for what he was editing. I could probably find him on Jul.

EDIT: Aaaaand I recall RuneHero saying ParkWarden was Taj.

Basically, Dave Wise replied to my email, asking about the unused songs in DKR. He gave some interesting info, but it's a shame I was only able to ask recently, and not nearer to DKR's release...
