I have the 3DS XL Blue Mario Kart bundle, and I'll tell you that Mario Kart 7 is pretty rad. I also picked up Resident Evil Revelations, which is pretty good. Paper Mario Sticker Star is cool, and of course, Nintendogs + cats. ;-;

I can't connect my DS to my Wi-Fi unless I have my router's WEP key, which I don't know how to get that. So I guess saying my friend code wouldn't even matter.

You should be able to find that on the router itself, or the info papers you got with the router.
