I am not sure what you mean by this.

If they called the Wii U the "Wii 2" it would have been a lot clearer that it was its own console that's a sequel to the last one.

Like Playstation has been doing for 25 years.

Yeah they'll know it's not just an add-on, but by using the same name you're making a lot of people (mostly low-income) not want to get a Switch 2, because they already have the first console. The name does not communicate that it's a NEW must-have experience, it just makes it seem like the Switch 2 is "nice, but not necessary" since it's just another Switch. Customers will look at that and go "I already have a Switch, i don't need an upgraded version of the same thing". Whereas if you give it a new name, like the Rinky Dinkus Machine, that makes it seem like it's a completely different thing that you MUST have because you don't have a Rinky Dinkus yet.

Playstation has also been a failure of a company ever since the end of the PS2 era so I'm not sure what your point is lol.

I'm worried that my worst fears will be realised with this "new" console. This "switch 2" is what should have been released instead of the OLED switch years ago and with the extension of the "switch" brand, i'm worried it will give Nintendo an excuse to further drag out the BOTW-style Zelda games.
I grew to enjoy BOTW but TOTK was a huge disappointment for me - Personally I really didn't need to explore the exact same Hyrule (this time littered with ugly sky debris) to look for koroks a second time.

I highly doubt they're gonna reuse the same map for a third time. Ninty rarely does something thrice in a row with no break. I also doubt it'll be a repeat of BotW's core mechanics. But, a repeat of BotW's core philosophy? That I'm unsure of. They might be getting stuck in an emergent gameplay kick.

I just hope the joycon situation isn't garbanzo. I took great care of my Switch and the whole experience became a rickety piece of junk. Drifting, disconnecting, loose... and I dunno, the new connection looks sketch as ****, doesn't look any better.

Rumors have been saying that Read Dead Redemption 2 will be a launch title, along with a new 3D Mario. Also suggesting the power is similar to a PS4 Pro.

I really hope Tears of the Kingdom, Mario & Luigi, and Pokemon get performance boosts.

Hmmmmm. If my somewhat Switch-equivalent PC hardware can run RDR2 at ~45fps at varying low-medium settings, then it won't take much to get it to run on a Switch with extra horsepower. This is a hard metric and cannot be argued.

My literal only wish (aside from usable joysticks without drift) is there being significantly less input delay, especially for Smash Ultimate/Smash Future. I still don't know how anyone played Ultimate competitively, it's so frustrating dealing with delay in the modern day when we shouldn't have to.

Also this got me to get out Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as I've only apparently gotten 450 coins in it. I had played it a ton on Wii-U and never got around to buying it for years for the Switch.
