GHARHAWHEH... Bottles' Puzzles

I can't believe I'm actually making a help topic in the Banjo-Kazooie forum... but here it goes. I'm taking the effort to go through and get the Banjo-Kazooie XBLA achievements, and I'm completely stuck on the Bottles' Puzzles at the end of the game. I honestly don't understand how I managed to finish these when I originally played the game. I'm stuck on the fourth puzzle, and obviously have a few more to go.

Any tips?

Just practice. It's really not that hard when you use the background as a reference . I did remember having trouble with the puzzle before the last, though. After getting the outside rim done, I just tried to find ones with Banjo in them or close enough to fit them in quickly.

It's really a matter of practice. Also you have to start again if you don't do it in one sitting so keep that in mind.

A huge handy thing to learn, is the actual shapes. I don't recall them by heart anymore, but the four corners for example, one corner has two female ends (like, no outward edges, just two indents), and that ones always going to be the top right, on all 7 puzzles. Etc. etc. Once you learn which edge each side piece goes on, and that the center peices always go north and east male, south and west female, then you don't have to worry about turning them incorrectly and it saves a crap ton of time.

Only real other tip I can give you is keep your eyes on a piece at the very start and follow it to where it lands, preferably one from the middle because corners are obvious, each edge only has 3, but the middle has 6 pieces to figure out from.

The last one is really hard, I used to loose because of one/two pieces remaining, but I finally made it. It didn't take a lot, and of course I got it the first day I tried the puzzle, as I didn't want to restart it (and die) another day.

I was thinking 'Have I done this on the xbla version yet?' but then I remembered that I don't own it.

Imagine how much harder BT would have been if ALL the puzzles there had no pieces already in them, and had to be rotated.. =3

It just takes some time. I never got through it back when I had the N64 version, but once I got the XBLA version, I got the achievement after not even an hour of playing through the puzzles.
