Serious (Seriously, Serious) Question
Is Treasure Trove Cove objectively the best Banjo-Kazooie level?
It's not my favorite, it's just clearly a 10/10 level and potentially G.O.A.T. for BK. You may raise the point that people often start up new Banjo-Kazooie files and stop after they finish TTC due to negative responses from Clanker's Cavern, just as much as for TTC's praises. But nay! I think even if Freezeezy Peak were the third level, we'd still hear stories of people playing only up to TTC, because it's just that superb. Debate me. |

It is best obviously because you are given the flight move here, and there are flight pads almost everywhere. That gives you a lot of freedom which feels good.

I think you are not wrong about Treasure Trove Cove being a favorite due to the fact that Clanker's Cavern served as a brick wall for many. Clanker's Cavern was an impossible endeavor for me as a kid, and I was inexperienced enough that getting the 180 notes between Mumbo's Mountain and Treasure Trove Cove was a battle of attrition. I never got tired of Treasure Trove Cove though. I love the music to this day and have super fond memories of the level, though it's entirely possible it's Stockholm syndrome that took deep root.

The music definitely ranks among Kirkhope's finest tracks. Yeah, I don't think any BK or BT levels is as great as TTC.
