Hmm. I'm not sure. I really like the Grunty's Revenge sprites, but it would be pretty difficult to add new moves with those sprites.
If we were to change styles there are five directions I would need: Facing down, facing to the side, facing up, facing down and to the side and facing up to the side.

well it's up to you. I can do a demo in gamemaker for myself...if that works we can pass them to your engine. Here is a piece of leveldesign I once did.

Yeah, well, game making takes a long time, especially when 1 person is doing the whole thing. If you get impatient again, you should just PM him for an update.
