Just a quick question: Can anyone remember a bk code for the PAl version called ''the eraser of love'' which not only erased your sns items but compleatly bodged up the game?
it might have been some kind of debug code. The codes are still there on one of my gamesharks but my brother has them so Ill get them off him next time he comes over. Thers no gurantee My gamesharks will still work though Last edited by ssj; 4th May 2008 at 10:51 PM. |

Seriously, its becoming really irritating. We dont really... care much for theories. There is already a thread for your theory, and youve posted 5 seperate ones... just in this thread. Stop, really. Im going to start hacking Kazooie and tooie on the actual 64 now. Ive learned enough about hacking in the past year that I can now do it properly on the console. I just need to wait till I can get my gamesharks ( I have an action replay and an equalizer) and tooie of my brother

http://www.rarewitchproject.com/foru...02&postcount=8 Basically, there are some freeze maps that have object data in them (for example, note nests, egg nests, etc.) Problem is, I can't quite tell what they are, just that I know there is data for those maps. 00A0 00E8 00F0 00F2 00F3 00F5 0175 The reason freeze maps don't load is because of a table the game reads when its loading a new map. Main reason is because there is no background identifier for all the freeze maps on the table. The reason it only loads the table when loading a new map (While in BK it's in the RAM for the entire game), is to save memory, since BT uses a hell of a lot more memory than BK for it's colossal maps. So if something doesn't need to be in the RAM at a time, it won't put it there, and only call for it when it needs it. And even if you changed it, as soon as the table is loaded, it's read and it resets to its basic variables everytime even if you changed it before. The other freeze maps don't have any background identifier either, and even if they did, it would still freeze because there would be no object placement data. As far as I know, a map needs both of these, and a proper working header to have a map successfully loaded. Last edited by Coolboyman; 8th May 2008 at 07:57 AM. |

CBM, I remember talking to Sub about something that could help with this.
I asked if it would be possible to put Tickers in RBB, just out of intrest. He said that because the model was not in the RBB file, it wouldn't load. I asked if moving the files around so that it WOULD load would work, and he said yes. Seeing as BT is close enough to BK to have the same working fileswop method, I thought of this: If we could take subsitute items out of other maps E.g Take Mayham Temple header, background identifier and object placement data. It would, hopefully, trick the game to load the map with the MT items, and possibly give us a small window to enter said map. |

This wont work but had an interesting thought today. You know that post I posted a few days ago about using artmoney with bk and the title screen recodnising event data? And by typing 06 next to the scene digit we would get a title screen of any map you want with events activated?
Maybe, just maybe we could do the same for BT E.g load up jinjo village in title screen, activates RSA silo Thoughts anyone? Edit: Its just a glitch but Ive managed to unlock a jiggywiggy challenge for every map in the game ive also found a new way to do the scene mod in the games memory Last edited by ssj; 10th May 2008 at 01:54 PM. |
