You know, there's nothing wrong with dusting off an old console or downloading old emulators. The Super Nintendo and the N64 had some great platformers. Off the top of my head: Super Mario series, Gex: Enter the Gecko, Crash Bandicoot series, Donkey Kong Country series, Banjo-Kazooie series...
Oh, and, yes, Psychonauts is the most win you'll experience in this lifetime.

No one get Braid. We need to stop supporting 1200MS Point XBLA games. If we keep buying 1200 point games that are no better than the 100+ 800 point games, soon EVERY game will be 1200 points.

No.
1) From what I've seen and heard, Braid can be completed in three hours. It is no more worthy of 1200 points than any other game on the marketplace. 2) The arcade has over 150 releases now. Very few of them felt the need to charge more than $10. Why do they all need to charge more now? I bought a couple 1200 games back when they were a rarity. I'm not digging the idea of "rarity" turning into "standard."

Actually, Gripshift feels like a car platformer. That sounds awkward, but keep in mind the theme for BK3
 . Try out the demo and you'll see what I mean.

Well if you have a 360 then you can download Psychonauts from the XBOX Live Marketplace for 1200 MS Points. If your looking for it of course.

Braid - Yes can it be beat in 3 hours yes, but can you get every puzzle piece with out using a help guide? Probably Not. So it is a multiple play through game to get every puzzle piece that is enjoyable. So break out your thinking cap.
