Not like they weren't already planning a Banjo-Threeie for the Gamecube that was completely unrelated to building cars and vehicles.

Well, like I added to my above post, Nuts & Bolts didn't even materialize until at least late 2005 or early 2006, and even then the mechanical aspect of the gameplay hadn't been decided on. The fact that they were already making a platform sequel to Banjo-Tooie on the Gamecube should be enough evidence that they hadn't even planned the game to be themed mechanical to be titled "Nuts & Bolts," so a hint, no, a coincidence, yes.

Maybe they had the concept idea for a while but never knew it would be a banjo game.

Rare put hints in all of their games. For instance, KI3 on the freezeezy egg shooter in Nuts and Bolts.

If it were less of a common phrase, then I'd be inclined to believe you. Like I've said twice already, pure coincidence.

I never hear the phrase "Nuts and Bolts" ever. You occasionally hear it, but it isn't used every day by anyone. So is it really that common?

the phrase is quite common and weldar said it because he throws nuts and bolts at you.

And you have to remember. The boss battle was made by the same people that made the name, Nuts and bolts. So to them it is quite a common phrase.

And the sentence don't link with BK N&Bs... Why would he even say that if he was hinting at the game.

Well now it's their main game, it will be now. But back then, i have to disagree.

Meh, it could be either. I certainly don't think we can rule out it is a hint towards it.

Why would Grunty mention Banjo Threeie and the end of the game if they knew about N&Bs

They might not have known. They might have had the concept in mind, but they never knew if it would be a Banjo Kazooie game.

I highly doubt it.

The sentence don't make sense to be a hint.

They were planning on using banjo threeie then they came up with banjo buildy etc.

It could be a hint but in my oppinion.. i don't think it is.
