The one thing I don't understand about Sonic games...
The games themselves mostly suck, but why is the music so damn good?

I enjoy Sonic games can't you tell by my profile. I don't understand why people listen to reviews I don't I listen to them and in the end I listen to my self if I enjoy a game. Your right the music is epic!!!!!

Ironically, Sonic 06 while horrible, had some decent music. Especially Solaris Phase 2, Wave Ocean - The Inlet, and Dreams of an Absolution [LB vs JS Remix].

Well, unlike some people in this thread, I put the classic Sonic music on the same level as B-K's music. My personal favorites are Labyrinth Zone and Scrap Brain Zone from Sonic 1, from Sonic 2:Chemical Plant, Mystic Cave, Oil Ocean, Metropolis, Hidden Palace, and Death Egg Zones, from Sonic 3: Angel Island, Marble Garden, and IceCap Zones, from Sonic & Knuckles: Fying Battery, Sandopolis, Lava Reef, and Sky Santcuary Zones. The last good music I heard in a Sonic game was Twinkle Park from Sonic Adventure. I've never played Sonic Heroes or Sonic '06.

Now just to throw this out there...
Take a nice long listen to this; and find one song that DOESN'T sound good/great/awesome/GODLY tell me that Sonic games have bad music. Are they remix/remakes? Sure. But the music had to come from somewhere. Sonic games CAN have bad music...yeah. *cough*SonicR&SonicChronicles*cough* But...the series has had an amazing track record with consistently good music (Though SA2 was quite vanilla in its rock selection aside from Supporting Me and Live and Learn...and SaTSR/ShTH were both quite "Meh"...) Then you have Sonic 06 which was quite dismal, yet...had quite a few incredible tracks. Why? WHY!!??!?!
