Sonic Unleashed: Is it really all bad?

If I'm honest, I love Sonic Unleashed. Specifically, I actually LIKE the new Werehog levels! (SHHH!) But, everyone else and their dog seems to think that the Werehog sections are Hell on Earth, made 10x worse. So I want to know what you think. YOU, YES YOU! Your personal opinion of the game, if you please, determined by what you played, and NOT what reviewers said. So, discuss!

Like the other Sonic Unleashed topic going on, I said the Werehog levels were good, but they shouldn't be in a Sonic game. It should have been all stages like the day ones and Sonic Team would've done terrific in the eyes of most people.

Everything you can do in the Werehog stages has all been done better a long time ago.

I have to agree that the stages aren't as bad as everyone has been saying, but I'd still have to call them mediocre. The day stages are brilliant.

I haven't even finished unleashed because those 5 minute day stages are not enough to motivate me through another night stages. Why are they so long? Why is the music repetitive? Why can I defeat a billion enemies by spinning the control stick and tapping a button a lot? Why is the camera wonky? Why are all the puzzles and challenges ridiculously easy?

Night Cons:
-Camera
-Repetition
-Boring atmosphere
-Pointless puzzles
-Worthless combat
-Only one tune plays during fights

Night Pros:
-Day stages around the corner
-Doorbell sound effect

I haven't played it much (I've just gotten to the first plane battle or whatever, which is just okay)

I dunno if I HATE the Werehog levels, but...they are darned repetitive.

I've seen (and played) worse, but I think Sonic Team could've done MUCH better with the game as a whole. If you put Sonic in running stages like those of daytime, add a few elements that don't completely screw up gameplay, and touch up the graphics, then that Sonic game could probably be good.

The whole Werehog thing is kind of stupid. The night stages should have been the same as the day stages, only playing as Shadow instead of Sonic. It would, in most peoples opinion, be better than Sonic Unleashed.

So far as I've seen, the only people that like them are either fanboys or cut off from the rest of the gaming world.

I thought the werehog levels were awful, played parts of the game at my pal's place and lets put it this way, even though the daylight levels showed promise, and were actually entertaining, the rest of the game was so bad I wasn't even willing to borrow it from him and play it just to get the achievements.

And I'm an achievement whore.

Shadow fails, kthx.
@gamer4250 - critics suggest that they are truly awful. YES they don't fit in in a Sonic game. YES they are repetitive and slow. BUT they are not absolutely terrible.

play another 3d beat-em-up with light platforming, like Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden, and then lets see you tell me that the werehog levels aren't terrible. They took a playstyle that has worked for other games in the past, and ruined it.

Shadow fails, yet repetitive and slow WereSonic isn't terrible? At least Shadow fits in a sonic game.

No he doesn't.

Any character that is not in the original 2D games does not belong anywhere. That means Shadow and Rouge and Eggman and Silver and Blaze and any other **** they've managed to mold into something.

I don't even want a game like the day levels.

Personally, I think that Sonic Rivals for the PSP should be like the day levels in this game. This game should have been like Sonic Adventure one and two.

Except Eggman was in there since the first Sonic so to take him out would leave no antagonist.
