So I got Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, and 3 from the VirtCon some time ago. So far, I'm just trying out the first one, because I want to milk them for all they're worth and keep myself entertained the longest by handling them one at a time. However, since I'm obsessed with getting every single Chaos Emerald so I can see the true ending, I haven't gotten past Marble Zone. Anyhoo, I just wanted to chat about these games with those of you who've been with them since ye olden dayes of the early-to-mid-90s.

I never found it on GameCube.

Besides, discs may not last forever. I'm happy with my purchase.

The first game's chaos emerald ending is the worst of the three. Sonic 3 is really just a "part 1", with Sonic & Knuckles being part 2. Sonic 3 was too big to fit on one Genesis cartridge so they split them, and Sonic 3 could connect to S&K to play the whole game through. Also, I think you can continue past Marble Zone cuz I'm pretty sure you can get a chaos emerald in acts 1 and 2 of each zone, and since there are only 7 emeralds you can skip getting them in a few levels. Good choice on games, though, they're classic. Get the Mega Collection or the upcoming Genesis Collection if you want them all, though.

I am not concerned about alternate ways of getting the games.

I merely want to discuss the games and the content thereof.

I only played 1 and 2 , they are pretty good games.

Never said the Wii sucked, I just said the VC sucks, because you can get emulators for the same games easily, even on the Wii. Except for N64. Augh Wii64.

Oh well the Sonic series is great

Sonic 2 is my fave out the 2d ones, well maybe Sonic CD.. nah still sonic 2

I have the original Sonic cartridge. I play it on my Sega Nomad, and it's great fun! I'm not that good at it, but I still enjoy it alot. I'm gonna try and find the other 2 games, as well.
