Finally doing Metroid Prime 1 for a 100% run on all three games. This game is interesting because it's the Prime that is most similar to the 2D games in atmosphere and gameplay. It's an amazing representation of what the 2D games would look like if they were made in a 3D world. Prime 2 and 3 is when the series got their own "feel" to it, while also keeping just enough of the 2D games to make a perfect combination of new and old.

The only thing I wish that these games did is have a dot in each map with a weapon upgrade like in the 2D games, so when I'm at the end trying to find everything I don't have to try and remember which upgrades I picked up and which I didn't.

Prime 3 does this, and is part of why I regard it so highly.

Personally I think putting dots on the map added too much hand holding and killed the hardcore soul of Metroid Prime to pander to the casuals.

Yeah if you wander around too long the game is like "Go here idiot" but you can turn those off

Jesus, some of the bosses in Mega Man 7 are ****ing frustrating as ****, man. Slash Man and Freeze Man are a real pain in the ass.

Slash man in particular, if his arena was taller to give you more time to react it would've been such a better fight.

I played Don't Starve Together with some random guy from 4chan. Then the Steam community died and that ended the game, we were having fun too.

Of all the Primes, I'd say the first has the best music/atmosphere. I wonder if they had the whole story planned out from the first game or if they sort of just went with it as it got popular

Have the Kingdom Hearts HD re-releases. Just beat the first game today. Man, I like the second one a lot more. Haven't ever beaten Chain of Memories (let alone heard of it the first time I played 2, which left me confused as hell) nor have I played Birth by Sleep, so that'll all be fun.

Oh god you reminded me of the fact that we used to have that game in our aviation class in middle school (it was one of those flight sims, probably an earlier version), except the computers were so shit that the settings had to be lowered until the game looked worse than your average N64 game.

If it was middle school then it was probably FS2002 or FS2004. What I'm running is Flight Simulator X, and that's actually with the graphics set to ultra high.

I wish I had an aviation class when I was in middle school. All we had was a shop class where we had to construct tiny wooden cars using only dull coping saws.
