i'll probably buy onechanbara z2 at some point also cause i played a tiny bit of the psp game and it made me want to play a game in the series that has the same mechanics but also actually controls

I've been playing Chulip a lot lately. Having a rough time of it too. I keep dying and have no idea what I should do. That is an accurate description of my actual love life too, now that I think about it.

iirc the game actually came with a guide in its manual because progressing through it is so confusing

The listed specs were indeed bullshit and Senran runs 60fps 480p (I have a shitty Dell monitor) on my 2005 toaster. Now just got my fingers crossed that we'll get a needlessly long lasting multiplayer community like what happened with 100% Orange Juice.

So I started Demon's Souls. I don't want to be too harsh on it, since it's the first one, so obviously it isn't gonna be as refined as the others. But one complaint I have which I feel is fair, is a lot of the areas are too goddamned dark. Like the Tomb of Giants in DS1 was fine, since it was built around it and it has the Skull Lantern, but here, it seems like a bunch of rooms/areas are just excessively dark for no good reason.

Game's still good though.

Also played a bit of the new Witcher 3 DLC, and Overwatch.

I played Demon's Souls about two months ago. It's good, but not as good as most people say. Compared to Dark Souls, it is pretty short and a lot easier. I beated Demon's Souls in 27 hours, and Dark Souls with DLC in 81 hours. In the first one there is only one hard boss and you can beat all the bosses except a few at the first or second try, while in Dark Souls there are bosses that require 20 or more attempts. But all the game is easier in general. It's true that I played Dark Souls first, but I'm bad at these games and I spent the first 15 hours of Demon's Souls for the first three areas and for farming herbs and souls for making a good weapon because I was having serious problems. But, after you got a decent weapon, the game becomes easy, while in Dark Souls difficult remains high. Moreover, Dark Souls is bigger than Demon's Souls in every way: there are more types of enemies, you get a lot of items, there are more different areas and the world is awesome, it has the travel feeling that is completely missing in Demon's Souls, where you don't have one big world, but five different zones divided in some areas.
I give 9.5 out of 10 to Dark Souls and 7 to Demon's Souls. I haven't played the sequels yet.

the ps3 r&c games are fun to play but i've never been a fan of how they change in tone. i can see not liking the humor in r&c1 but i really liked the mostly lighthearted cartoony space adventure vibe the whole first trilogy had going on and i feel like starting with deadlocked they took a weird shift to a way darker tone and i never really dug it. tools of destruction might be different though, i didn't play that or quest for booty

Senran Kagura has it's first PC mod. It has all been worth the wait.

In other news, I'm playing MAngband again. You know, that game I once tried to host a server for here but nobody played. If you don''t remember, just think Diablo but without graphics. You can meet me on the official main server sometimes.

I want to play Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin that I have just bought, so I turn on my Xbox One. 3.4GB update. Damn. More than one hour later, I can finally insert the disc. 5.4GB update for the game. Holy shit!
I turned on my N64 with Rocket Robot on Wheels. I hate modern gaming.
