aw that's kind of a bummer, but they seem to be struggling rn so I'm not entirely surprised. Things are a changing and every major company does their own announcement shows anyway so if anything it's mostly just the nostalgia factor that's lost for me.

My friend let me borrow his PS5 while I babysit his dogs for a week. I haven't completely invested myself in any games since I don't want to get too into something that will be ripped away from me, but I'm having a blast with the controller.

Also, apparently if you transfer a 100% save of Spider-Man Miles Morales from PS4 to PS5 (my PS4 disc lets me get the PS5 version for free), you instantly platinum the PS5 version of the game.

They already said E3 is set to come back in a big way next year. There's no way they'll permanently cancel Gamer Christmas.

Besides, as long as Nintendo announces Donkey Kong Country 6: Kiddy's Kong Krusade in their June Direct, I'll be fine.

I have, for some reason or another, gotten way into Overwatch over the last few months which is funny because I've never been all that interested in competitive games before. Only quickplay for now though as even doing this is a huge step for me.

Here's hoping that OW2 is cool when it eventually comes out.

Been playing the Overwatch 2 Beta. Vast improvement over the first, as I was so sick of shields and stuns dominating every single game making it more of you vs shields than actual PVP. Now your own skill matters so much more, which is what it should have been in the first place. Getting matched with some wood tier players sucks though, as either I 30-0 stomp them, or they're on my team and they never manage to find the payload. Hopefully when its out of Beta they reset MMR and have players who belong in Masters matched with similarly skilled players, hah.

Also having fun with the OW2 beta, agreed that fewer shields are a much-needed change that fuels more action in the matches. Having fun with Orisa and her rework, along with trying out Sojourn. I don't understand Doomfist AT ALL but tbf I never really have and will continue playing him every once in a while to try and get where he's at too.

Finished Final Fantasy 8 last week. "Eyes on Me" has been stuck in my head since. I didn't really care for the junction system or the level scaling, but I liked the setting and story. On to FF9!

I returned to Super Mario Sunshine. It reminded me of when I was a kid and just having fun jumping off platforms and walljumping my way up to things I'd otherwise have to go the long way around. I've said before, Mario's movement in that game is just so fluid (pun slightly intended) that just running around is fun, rivalled only by Odyssey in my opinion.

Bianco Hills totals show I'm missing seven of the thirty blue coins though and it's probably going to stay that way.
