Started Assassin's Creed Unity. The title is certainly ambitious in size, and it certainly still has a lot of bugs, but it's just sort of mediocre. It takes steps in the right direction, but it only goes half way with them leaving the game feeling half assed. The only thing they seem to be going fully forward with is Micro-transactions.

It's an issue with having too many people on the friendlist apparently.

Yeah apparently it's due to massive friend-list sizes so disconnecting from online will fix it. I'm sure this will be an easier fix than Unity, but seeing as it's apparently still a problem with PSN in general, i'm not sure how they'll get around it.

It's more than PSN; I bought that game on the Xbox One as a huge Tetris fan, and it is atrocious. I don't know how you could screw up Tetris, but Ubi did.

On a sort of related note, my brother has made it painfully obvious that my "gift" from him is an xbox one. and buy "gift" I mean present from himself to himself, but just used me as an excuse to spend the money and not feel judged or bad for not buying proper gifts for the family like we did.

IMO, Tetris DS is the best version of Tetris.

like, its the reason i even learned how to play is because it came out as i was getting into competitive online nintendo gaming (i had a top 15 time trial record in the usa for a mario kart ds stage at the time) and playing tetris online vs japanese savants, reading strategy wikis for tetris and learning advanced moves, etc. helped me understand the game better and learn how to play it properly

That's actually legitimately cool. I've always respected the people like ulililia who sit and learn the inner mechanics of a game and how it works at a core level. I think there are only one or two games I'm at that level with, but I wish I had that level of dedication to learning USFIV or Melee cause I'm so shit at the former, and only meh at the latter.

Tetris was fun to master though. I loved hearing friends say they were awesome at Tetris... then wrecking their shit.

You can definitely kick my ass now, man I haven't played much in years. It is the quintessential puzzle game for a reason though. Somehow Tetris really never gets old, and there are still cool modes that branch out from the original concept that are very fun to play. It's another game that doesn't work very well on most smartphones though, because you really need that tactile feel.
