I can't help but wonder how many of the original Rare guys worked on Kinect Sports Rivals. Are they trying to keep their characters on life support by giving them cameos in this turd of a game, or are a bunch of new people paying homage to the old masters by doing the same? Either way I don't think this means there are new adventures for those characters on the horizon. Remember that Nuts & Bolts also had Conker and Battletoads music.

It is much, much, much smaller than easter eggs invasion in Ghoulies and Nuts & Bolts but finally we got something! And yep...Banjo model is from NB so they are going to use it now.

I think the idea is to recreate the look of blocky, low-poly N64 models. It's a little meta. Frankly, I don't mind the new designs, though I agree that the old ones were much, much better.

Ooooohhh, "Challenge Packs" based on Banjo-Kazooie, Battletoads, Blast Corps, Perfect Dark, and Viva Pinata??? They don't really show any pictures, but from the way they word it, kinda sounds like Mumbo and others make a physical appearance?!?!!? Hurry, someone investigate!
At the very least, really cool they're doing something to reference those games. Even Blast Corps! The years to come could be interesting....

I'd be fine if those just added the franchises respective characters to the Mascot mode. Of course it would be awesome to rock climb Mumbo's mountain avoiding termites.

At the very least, they are emphasizing their older franchises constantly now. Even today they released a free skin pack for Minecraft Xbox 360 that has Banjo, Viva, and Conker skins. Perhaps they are planning a revival...
