I have Rayman 2 and you don't need the expansion pack for it.

Possibly a Dev cart.

Look at the "Partner-N64 kit". Looks a bit like that. Also, in the search for Dev Cart images, I found this Nintendo site http://www.warioworld.com/ I thought it was the game, but it wasn't. Probably nothing new.

And so was a lock on cart, possibly. But - wasn't.

Of course, all the cool, inovative ideas get shot down...Rare should just tell us and get it over with.

I don't know why rare won't just tell us the intentions and what happened. I think at first they didn't want to, but that much of a fuss and 'sub-culture' about SNS has been created, that it's now a bit of a joke to Rare, hence the SNS references in their games since BK.

But why create sandcastle codes for something that is useless? If they were gonna play a trick on us, they would have told us years ago when we found out.

Well, I often think that the sand castle codes, were supposed to be used to get the secrets. That's why they are in the game. I also think these cheats would be acquired in BT, perhaps told to you by someone, and then you'd go back to BK, put sandcastle codes in and - grab them. Perhaps there are no special cut scenes for the opening of the areas. Perhaps the ice panel covering the ice key chamber is in 2 halves so that it has such an icy cracked effect?

But, people argue that those secret item codes are "debug" codes. Possible, as codes relating to opening up Tresure Trove cove exist. But, other codes on BK required "cheat" to be stomped in front of the actual code, if I am correct. So, perhaps they are not debug?

The yellow base egg was in the Americn version of BT, which tells us Rare started work on the transaction stage. But perhaps the fact a lot of people could already have the secrets, would mess with their plans. How can they include triggers and such in BT for BK, when the items/secret areas have possibly already been acquired. It could have been problematic.

Whislt searching wikipedia I saw this:

There are still a few situations in Banjo-Tooie which seem to curiously lack a purpose (such as the drunken Captain Blackeye who mopes the same few lines of dialogue over and over). Also, dedicated fans have been able to hack Banjo-Tooie with a GameShark to trigger the message "Stop 'n' Swop" (sic) to appear. It is possible that the intended link feature may have originally involved removing the Banjo-Tooie cartridge and plugging in the Banjo-Kazooie cartridge while the Nintendo 64 unit was still turned on. It is possible that a functioning link feature may still actually exist in the games, but has simply never been discovered. The amount of inconclusive fan hacking makes this seem quite unlikely, however.

Was Stop n Swop text found in BT?? Or is thos an error?
