You learn how the formats are, disassemble a lot, assemble a team, and write a level editor like I did for Goldeneye ;p

How do I change the text so I can make a spoof video to fool people on YouTube who don't go on RWP?

I have a fun idea involving oranges.

.3ds that sounds so familiar
I remember finding a .3ds file in a computer game I had and it said I needed some studio software to open it or something but it was like 200 MB I aint gonna be able to get that anytime soon.

It's nothing like those formats. Well, maybe has some similarities, but it's more like opengl commands.

Fair enough ,

OK So I have advanced to the point of "Inject into ROM" And It made a new ROM which is "Banjo-Kazooie.z64.rom" and Project 64 doesnt recognise it as a valid ROM, so did i need to open it wiuth another emulator?

Edit,

I remember that being used in a quiz question when you had to identify Captain Blubbers voice. They used Captain Blackeye because he has captain in his name people will easily confuse Captain Blubber with Captain Blackeye

Aww come on dont give up!I almost gave up but its real easy once you get used to it.

ROM IN is the rom you inject the binary file into, ROM out is the ROM with the incurred change, or so i think

now that is a good question, First Decompress Banjo-Kazooie (ie open the Decompressor, click the bottom button, decompress game, select the BK rom (Make a new directory for BK for ease)) And in a few seconds the directory will be filled with loads and loads of .bin and .txt files, (the .txt files are the notepad representations of the .bin files which can be opened with an HexEditor. Find the text you want to change by opening the .txt files (Though not all of them will have text (I think the text starts at around 5c3ed0) once youve found the txt file that has the text you want to change open the corresponding .bin file with a hexeditor and rewrite it. Click Save as on the hexeditor (I presume ) and go back to the decompressor...then click Inject, Once youve Hit that button it will prompt you to select the file to inject once thats been selected and opened it will ask for an IN rom thats the rom you insert the .bin file into, Then it will open up another prompt where you have to tell it what to save it as, (I think it will be something like Banjo-Kazooie.z64.rom then run that rom on emulator

Be warned there most definitely is some flaw to that method because Its not working for me

I found the Stop 'n' Swop Text!

I want to change the thing saying it may be useful later to how useless..

EDIT: I found it, i did it, but I also got the Banjo-Kazooie.z64.rom thing.
