Rare's gimmik of Stop N Swop and why you'll never know what it was

Oh my god!!!
Microsoft just announced a new RUMBLE PAK!!!! This add on will actually make your controller SHAKE when you do something in the game!!!!

Sure, that's nothing now, but 10 years ago, that was a huge advancement that everyone expects in a great console, only an idiot would leave the rumble out*cough*PS3*cough*.
So looking back at Stop N Swop, sure, at the time it was something HUGE, now a days, it couldn't compare to the stuff we've hacked or can get with any other console.

Here's a thought, what if the Cyan Egg unlocked...NEVER ENDING AIR!
That's great at the time, we could swim and have no worries, but now it can be easily achieved with a game shark.
It's not like the Red Egg is going to give you internet access like the consoles of today, nor could Rare ever see that move, so even though it would be an amazing feat than, it's expected today.
Even Stop N Swop is expected today, look at our technology, Stop N Swop could EASILY be acheived with a memory card.

Stop N Swop:

Get to point A in Banjo Kazooie
Save onto memory card
Play Banjo Tooie and get to special area
Insert Memory card with point A saved.
Game reads Memory Card
If yes: Continue
If no: "Please enter a memory card with a Banjo Kazooie A point.
Continue: Load memory from Banjo Kazooie.
Player collects prize.

Would this be amazing?!
No, it's a common feature in most games anyways.
Take Ratchet and Clank.
You get to a certain point in the sequel and you can use your memory card to unlock special goodies in the second game, depending on how far your progress in the original.

But, nevertheless, Rare has beaten this cause by introducing an uncompleted connection, making players wonder and wonder, and buy and buy.
And isn't buying what they want you to do?
Face it, Rare has found a gimik, attached it to a hook and threw it into the consumer ocean, your being reeled in RWP, Your being reeled in.

We already knew this, we know Rare has now taken advantage of us SNS researchers in order for us to buy their games just to find misleading clues.
Actually, theres a parody video about it.
Rare did not plan this from the start, just that when they found out that a whole fan site and tons of people giving their theories they knew what they had accomplished, and took an advantage over it.

Umm dude your forgetting of a little thing called Nintendo 64DD + RANDnet
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_64DD

It had internet access. Also Banjo Kazooie 2 (aka Tooie) was supposed to be one of the games to use this feature. Unfortunately it boomed.

EDIT:
The Super Nintendo was the first system to have interenet access but only was published in Japan and boomed as well.

seriousally grab, enough with the "rare just wants your money" posts. You don't need to post your comment here, then make an entirely new post with the exact same comment.

Wow, grabythejiggies posted two identical posts in two different topics, one of which was completely unrelated to his subject matter.

To graby - Everyone on RWP actually enjoys wasting hours searching for non-existant remnants of the past, your synical approach to SNS might not be welcomed by some D:

To yamibakuragod - Hypocritical much? You posted that exact same post in the other thread to.

I had to, he made it twice, why bother writing two separate posts that say the same thing.
