That never happened, he's referring to something beta I found today in Banjo-Kazooie

Seriously Banjo Kazoo, you're really failing at being a member here. Stop ruining other peoples topics, like you almost did with mine.

I still have alot of stuff to go through in the beta dk64 kiosk rom. I've been able to load parts of Fungi Forests map(basically same as in final version), other than that no Fungus Forest.

Besides there is something you should realize.

Fungi Forest was created from elements of Fungus Forest. These elements aren't neccessarily "tangible" things extracted from Banjo-Kazooie. For example, they used some of the ideas for Fungus Forest and implemented those into DK64's Fungi Forest.

Having said that, since Elements(As in Ideas) of Fungus Forest were used(and not the original level itself), the Fungus Forest in DK64 would have never been the same as the one in Banjo-Kazooie.

Elements are pieces that make up a whole.

So if Some Elements are from Banjo-Kazooie's Fungus Forest, then the others are NOT.

Of course, but you can't rule out that they used a small part of the original Fungus Forest and built off that. It would be smart to save the original when working off something, which is why I asked if any base level of the original is on the DK ROM.

Although, I would suspect the Kiosk DK ROM would have a better chance at having lots of base levels (not levels from B-K, but little scraps here and there that they used to make the levels we have now). Fungus Forest, or some of it, could be one of them.

This is assuming if Fungus Forest was even made at all. For all we know, we are assuming the wrong thing from the pictures we have and that FF was only a blueprint in development. This goes along with you saying elements were used, not scraps.

I have found new areas in DK64 kiosk, mainly one room with 2 rows of doors which all contain kong faces on them. In that room, there are 2 life balloons. I'd like to find a way to figure out where the warps in those door's lead to, but I cant as of now because every time you warp in the kiosk rom it seems to take you back to the intro screen.

Here is a video with that room:
http://www.rarewitchproject.com/foru...ad.php?t=14543

The scene value that the room is located in kiosk happens to be the scene value for one of the barrell minigames in the final version. I'm not sure where those doors lead yet for the reasons mentioned above.

Think about it. Perhaps the entrance would be where it normally is but the exit from MFE would be in the lava room.
Sorry if I'm going off topic but I think you were on to yet another interesting fact Chaos447, Gobi did mention that he was heading to someplace peaceful and quiet in BK and in BT he said "As you may remember I was on my way to the Lava world" so gobis valey might have been conected to mount. fire eyes somehow too

I never read this thread, and I enjoyed reading it. Chaos, you brought some good information up - I actually think you may be onto something. I always did think that the Click Clock Wood puzzle was a bit too out of place though it's arguable that the cauldron nearby portals to the click clock wood level entrance area and that it was made to be, but I think you could be right in terms of FF being there.

I just wish Rare could give us some insight or something into this. It'd be good to get official confirmation, despite the enjoyment of speculating.

I'm sure Grunty's lair wasn't around when Fungus Forest was in the game. Although let's just assume it was. That area is pretty close to Clankers Cavern so yeah, Clankers Cavern would have been Fungus Forest because there would have been too much suggesting it was.

That's all I have to say on this.
