todays update was a bit of a disappointment (i was hoping for a character) but i enjoyed nevertheless

We've all been hoping for a character for a couple of months now.

If you open up the Dojo everyday expecting a character, you'll almost always be disappointed.

I bet Geno will be the next 3rd-party character. Remember all the hype about him? I'm assuming they would have planned the characters early.

what the hell is with everyone saying Geno is third party. HE IS NOT THIRD PARTY !!!!! is a character for the Mario universe that was created by a third party character. He is a 2nd party character at best but he is not third. He is like Diddy kong. Based in a first party universe and created by a 2nd party (at the time)

Diddy Kong was created by Rare, who at the time was a SECOND-party to Nintendo and is owned by Nintendo outright. Two different situations.

And in case you missed it, there is no Megaman in Brawl. He was disconfirmed by his own creator.

Geno is a joint-owned character which means that both companies can use him whenever they want as long as they give mention to the other in the credits. Of course, they probably ask each other first to be genial about it. The "joint-owned" trend was a poorly calculated one that isn't done often (at all?) anymore today.

Also, I thought I'd be sorely disappointed with today's Christmas update, and in the grand scheme of things I suppose it was a little weak. However, the Angel Island Remix was the best Christmas present I could get <3.

Anyway...I can't wait to get this game just for the sake of recording its wonderful wonderful music.

EDIT: If the music trend continues, maybe the DK Rap won't be as bad as it was in Melee...

I loved the Melee version of the DK Rap D= In fact, I think it's even better than the original version!

Quite possibly.

But remember, he did say he hadn't been approached by Nintendo and neither was Kojima. I must say my "MEGAMAN!" enthusiasm has certainly taken a nosedive to "Well..unlikely but..." status now.
