Mumbo's Wand teaser trailer

From RWC:
http://rarewarecentral.com/forums/sh...09&postcount=1

I dunno whether they were going to post this on The RWP later but I thought I'd do it just in case. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Mumbo's Wand in a Banjo-Kazooie level editor that's been being worked on for goodness knows how long now.

To them: You guys are awesome for this and you've done some great work. This'll be a boom when it's finished and released and I'm looking forward to it.

That's really neat, thanks for sharing. I expect to see a lot of cool fan generated stuff soon.

Oh my goodness. I can't wait. I love this so much.

But, I'm not really that good with computer stuff like that, so I'll may be only to make small simple levels lol.

But a huge thing I would love, is for someone/a big group of people to make a full-game, amazing, 100% complete Banjo-Threeie out of this. Of course it might take years for them, but that's fine. And hopefully even get different music tracks so it sounds like a new Banjo game.

I would love to get an Everdrive64, download the Banjo-Threeie Rom (assuming if someone makes it, it would be formatted as a N64 rom), and play it on my N64 like it's an actual Banjo-Threeie. Ah. Just the thoughts make me happy.

Now that I would love. Would it take years, plural? No way. Not if we aren't over-the-top about it. I mean, they seemed to created the demo levels pretty quickly. In the sense that, we could string a series levels together with a story, sure. It just can't have every element that a real new game would have. Music would be an issue, and of course we'd never actually send out physical copies of the game or anything. You can't learn new moves and you only have the moveset and items from the first game; not Tooie. So it would have to be some kind of prequel or something to make sense.

Still, it would be an big effort and we would need some things but it wouldn't be impossible.

You can replace music and sound effects in Banjo Kazooie (although it won't be integrated for Mumbo's Wand version 1). Scripting will come later too.

This is amazing stuff, to say the least. I remember when Toad's Tool 64 came out and being blown away, and I'm getting the same sort of feeling with this. I also love how user-friendly this looks.

I greatly look forward to the release!

So we can basically import any N64 texture, or even create or own?

Also, Snacker works, doesn't he? He can also probably be resized or made multiples of, too, I bet! The only thing I'm NOT looking forward to is to see how people use that blue demon.

Funny I was thinking the same thing. I wonder how Snacker works, since he just appears out of nothing. What would you do? Drag a Snacker model in the water and edit the field in which it can appear? Maybe there's actually two types of water in the game that have the exact same appearance; Snacker water and regular water. Maybe not though, considering the very smooth transition between oil water and Snacker oil water.

Holy hell, that's awesome! People could make fully fledged Banjo games. And I have the sinking feeling that someone will eventually make Kaizo-Kazooie with this shit, haha.

I'll definitely play as many of them as I can. I'd probably even play them on my channel.
