Things in Spiral Mountain.

A few things noted about the new Spiral Mountain from the video.
I will be using this picture, by the way:
http://www.rarewitchproject.com/wiki...untainBKNB.jpg
Ok, so first off, there is a great big ditch to the left of SM where there used to be trees, the bridge from SM to Grunty's lair, which is still intact, is broken. There is a path along the top of the waterfall and it looks like a cave near the left, ontop of the falls. There are crates where the boulders used to be and there is a little bit of dired up lake coming off of the moat. Also, the lair is now made of bricks when it used to be rocks (I think?) And there are what seem to be vines hanging from the hat and head that looks like hair.
And there is a great, gaping hole next to the lair where the cheato page used to be, now it's a slope leading up the the top of the waterfall.
Something about the lair, the missing eye has switched places (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/BTSMshot.jpg Good pic from Bottles98 to compare with.) and the hole where Grunty hit is missing now.

Also, from this video : http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/886/886432p1.html
You can see that banjos house is obviously more run down with corogated sheets on the roof, his door amess and a skip on the lawn. Some of the windows are borded up also. And it looks asif they are living on the garden as they have a bean bag as a chair and they have their TV, Xbox 360 and N64 outside with them with they radio and Pizza. And also Kazooie has the Xbox headset on, possibly borrowing their 360 from the Pinatas after they gave it them for xmas? There is a tombstone outside their house, proboably a joke about Bottles death in BT. (Thanks Bottles98)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tombstone2.jpg From this picture you can see the big ditch where Roysten was buried is still there, but the rest is blurry. (Possibly because of the heat)

A larger image, if anyone needs it, it's a bit easier to see.

That area of mud may be where the hole to Showdown Town appears (although this is pure speculation )

Heh, I just noticed the alcove where you find the Cheato Page in Tooie is still there (albeit larger now)...some good continuity thar.

EDIT: Oh god the area leading up to the waterfall cave so looks like it's meant to be explored.

Yes it's fine.

I still find the tombstone outside Banjo's house odd but I guess it's nothing more than a little in-joke about Bottles' death in Tooie, lol.

I dunno about that... This looks almost exactly the same as we left in in Banjo-Tooie, after the Hag 1 came though and destroyed a lot (Except it looks more beautiful )...
  1. Those trees were already replaced by that ditch in Banjo-Tooie,; there were a few nest of feathers inside in BT.
  2. The bridge to Grunty's Lair was broken exactly like that in Banjo-Tooie.
  3. That cave was where you could get a Banjo-Kazooie game pak in Banjo-Tooie.
  4. Those crates already replaced the boulders in Banjo-Tooie, where you re-learned some of your moves.
  5. Parts of the moat were alredy dried up in Banjo-Tooie.
  6. At least the tower part of Grunty's lair was already made of brick.

Also, some more continuities:
  • The small alcove where you found the Cheato page after re-learning the Shock Spring Jump is still there.
  • The bridge over the water is still destroyed.
  • It looks like the tracks of the digger that desroyed it are still there.
  • One of the ledges you jumped for the Golden Banjo on was destroyed in Banjo-Tooie, and is sitll.

Differences:
  • The waterfalls have dried up!
  • Is that some sort of ramp behnid Grunty's lair and the waterfalls, up onto the part of SM that was always unexplorable? Reminds me of Grunty's Revenge: Spiral Mountain was much more huge than we had seen it.
  • Banjo's House has trees around it! The trees are back! There were 0 trees in the entire game of Banjo-Tooie.

I saw that and had no idea what it was. I though it was a letterbox or something ^^
Also, at above, I know some of it was already in BT but I was just saying what was there. Also, the ditch wasn't there I don't think, it was nearer to Banjo's house, but I'm not sure, you could be right.

If it was for the Jinjos I don't really think BK would care tbh. They save their butts in every game for a Jiggy so they proboably happy a whole family of them has gone.

I think the tombstone is for Bottles. I can kinda see the glasses. Isn't that where we see Bottles' dead (burnt) body lying on the ground in the beginning of Tooie?

Ah, but see, SM has two waterfalls, one on the right, and one on the left, and the rightmost one appears to be the explorable one this time.
