Why did Killer Instinct die?

I wish they'd make more. The n64 one couldn't have been that much of a failure. I'm still pissed Cinder wasn't in it though. I loved the SNES one. Used to Ultra everyone with Cinder.

Here's a question... do you think that a KI game would stand up in today's market? If you look at Street Fighter IV, Virtua Fighter, Tekken and alike, is there a space for something that is comparatively so over the top and tongue in cheek? Or is everyone too fixated on realism and games more suited to tournament play?

Yeah, it would, if you realised it on a Nintendo console...

Sure, if it were done right. "Over the top?" Soul Calibur with Darth Vader could be considered over the top, but it's there. That one sucked because the controls weren't responsive/quick enough. The fighters just seemed slow.

So RARE are thinking about another killer instinct? I think that would be a wise choice as people want more violence than VP or BK can offer! I would definately buy it! Its hard though as whether to start a new genre as VP didnt get the atention it deserved! It is definately one of the top 20 games on the xbox!

P.S. I hope theyd make banjo a playable character LOL

If they gave him the old platforming moves instead of the wrench I would SOO buy it!
