Super Pocket Rare edition
Anyone here also picked up the Super Pocket Rare Edition, just to play Banjo Kazooie on it?
It's an entire rewritten port for the super pocket, and has some minor differences to the N64 version. Especially in the tutorial, there are some extra moves explained, and some extra dialog. Seeing how Banjo Tooie will also be released, I'm curious if they will implent some way for Stop n Swop.

I haven't played it but I didn't realize it had differences. Kinda figured it was just, "slap an N64 emulator and the rom in it and call it a day."

Why would I want to shill out a ton of money to play Banjo-Kazooie but worse because it has no control stick, no camera stick, a tiny screen and only 4 face buttons?
(jk I'd totally buy this if I wasn't a broke-ass loser. [only half jk tho]) |

They had to rebuild it, since the hardware isn't powerful enough for N64 emulation.
Most are small differences: - expended tutorial section, now climbing a tree is also explained by bottles - Banjo holds an Evercade Pocket in save slot 3, instead of a GameBoy - Stop n Swop sand castle codes don't seem to work. Tried two carefully, didn't do a thing. - Return to Grunties lair option restored, so you can quickly exit a level I do must say that the lack of analog really isn't an issue. Didn't have any problems playing the game so far. The small screen is something you can get used to. I still play a lot of DS and GBC, so didn't bother me. Everything looks sharp though.

Someone get the RWP Wiki up and running so we can log these changes.

There was no reason for me to buy this device, there are countless excellent ways to play Banjo, but I'm a sucker for a gadget

I wish I still had enough childlike starry-eyed wonder left in me to believe this could be evidence of some mysterious hidden secret we have yet to find

Spoiler warning:
When collecting all jiggies, mumbo will show the stop n swop pictures. After the last one, Kazooie will make a remark how we waited long enough for it. Mumbo agrees, and unlocks all SNS locations, together with the music player mentioned, and a cheat menu (infinite health, blue eggs,...) Every egg unlocks an extra cheat, like Big Head Banjo, Big feet,... The Ice Key, as far as I could see, doesn't do anything. You can also reset all the SNS items // End of spoilers

Let your inner child come out, and embrace the unhealthy SNS obsession once more...

Well, Tooie comes out on an evercade cartridge soon so... Expect that I guess
The magic of SNS kinda isn't there when they're on a piece of hardware that can store saves on it though |
