The only time I've liked the automatic levels are the ones on YouTube that are synced to music and since SMM doesn't have the music I don't care about them.
The other day I tried expert 100 and ran into like 15 levels that had enemies spawn pretty much right in Mario's face and insta-kill you if you don't know to hold a specific direction as soon as the level pops up. ffs, maybe this bs stuff can be cool if you're endlessly flinging yourself at a single level but it's infuriating when trying to conserve lives. Still haven't finished an expert yet and it doesn't feel like it's because I lack skill but rather that most people make shit levels. |

Might as well add mine to the pile since I'm lurking around anyways.
Mt. Prehistoria: 3416-0000-004C-1BAF - Scale the inside and outside of a massive mountain infested with wigglers and remnants of the ancient past. The creatures of the past aren't much threat to Mario these days.... or are they? Celestial Trek: 7BF5-0000-0044-1503 - Super Mario Galaxy was one of the first times that Mario has ventured into space, but it certainly isn't the last! Mario ascends into no man's sky to find alien squids, space debris and even Bowser Jr's space cruiser. Arms Factory District: DD2A-0000-0040-2E0B - Mario has had many adventures, but most of them take place in suburbs and rural lands. This time, Mario ventures into the city to find manufacturing plants designed to stockpile munitions for Bowser's army (how did you think he got his army?). Those brave enough to trek into the sewers of this city will find the ghostly remnants of the town that once stood before Bowser's industry set up shop there. Bungle in the Jungle: C117-0000-003A-75D5 - Mario enlists his old on-and-off pal/nemesis Donkey Kong to navigate the dense mushroom jungles inspired by the Donkey Kong Country series. I'd like to note that all of my levels so far have a moderate level of difficulty brought on mostly do their more adventure-oriented nature. That said, these levels don't actively try to kill you much and (hopefully) supply many routes to complete the level so that it is difficult to get in an utterly screwed position. I also like the idea of creating fun and unique environments to explore, so expect to see a more artistic take on level design from these stages.

All fixed! I put a B instead of an eight.
4A8F-0000-0049-7625 I also have Fly or Die: A35C-0000-0028-B80C. I'm super critical of my own levels, so I've only uploaded a few.

The fact that Ross is one of the highest starred course makers feels like a very bad cosmic joke.

Fight or Flight: 408D-0000-0048-030A
This one has two different paths leading to the goal. One path is a little easier but you have to be able to fly, the other one can be tricky if you try to rush it. Secret of the Static: 2F56-0000-0052-A008 This one might be too cryptic but it's my favorite course I've made so far. |

Choose 2 bosses (9574-0000-0042-B93A)
Basically I was experimenting with the design of forced boss battles. You have to pick 2 bosses from 2 sets of 4, the difficulty varies, some are done in seconds and others take more time, you can always attempt another one if you find one too hard. Feel free to take some ideas from here if you're trying to come up with a boss. I will soon proceed to follow everyone from this thread and play/star their levels.

Sorry if I'm just an idiot, but where do you go to add levels? Is there a way to just add my friends list?

Go to the "courses" section in the online menu and search someone's course ID, once you find it you can choose to follow that person and then you'll be able to find them in the "makers" section under "following". I really don't know about the friends list.

For some bizarre reason, they don't seem to have any way to just add people from your friend list, which is baffling. So yeah, you have to already have someone's course ID before you can follow them.
