Week 5
Wow, it's been a while hasn't it? We hope our contestants have enjoyed their downtime because it's about to get serious in Hell's Forum. You may have noticed, Mandy is MIA. Contrary to the rumours, I haven't got her tied up in a closet, feeding her only gruel and water. She's been busy with other things and should hopefully return real soon.
With that out of the way, it's time to get things started with a quick reminder of the teams. Red Team Danny Trabajo Ice Lightning Green Team greatman3388 IbanezerIceFAIL Minjo Over the coming weeks the challenges are going to involve multitasking, meaning that our remaining contestants will have to perform several different tasks per week to mirror the actual workload that is expected of our moderators. One of the constant tasks will be continual moderation of the Music and RWPChan forums. Red team have Music, and the Green Team take RWPChan. Okay, let's deal with this week. Task 1 One duty of our staff is to write news stories on the main site when required. I want to see what kind of writing ability our contestants have, so the challenge this week is to write a news article for our main site. Because the markup language on our site is an extension of BBCode, you can create your article in your own private forum. I am not concerned about layout, but more the writing style and personality, but I would be interested in what images you would include to supplement the story. Article content Rare have recently announced that they are working on a new Banjo game utilising Microsoft's Natal technology. Details are very sketchy at the moment, but they have gone on record as saying that it's a return to it's platformer roots.* Question of the Week What have you done outside of the duties delegated during Hell's Forum that you have not done prior to this competition to demonstrate your seriousness and eagerness to become a moderator? Essentially, describe how you've gone above and beyond the minimum. Example: At the beginning of the competition, greatman3388 picked some random winners to receive the reward without ever being prompted to do so. The articles will be moved from your private forums on Friday 23rd October at 9pm GMT along with your answers to question of the week. The results will be announced on Saturday 24th October at 9pm GMT. *For the avoidance of doubt, this information is completely false.

We're allowed to work on the article as a WIP over the week and edit it as many times as we wish, right? As in you won't judge it until the due date.
