I'm in the camp that thinks that's probably what Heracross was meant to be originally before they decided it was too different looking.

to relate it back to the discussion of the catching contest I shall again quote from TCRF

Animal Crossing is close, but if there was just, always online secret bases. The base is in a server and people can visit my base in their game. That'd be rad.

They really missed out on this for SW/SH. Could have EASILY implemented it, where you would get random bases throughout the wilds each day or something, and if you found a base you liked you could favourite it so it wouldn't change.

That's for Pokemon Gun, I guess. Even though they said there would be no third game.

feel it on my soul bruda! Some do cause they are absolutely worthless without it (talking design wise not just stat wise) some can stand on their own though
