Jolly?
So........Yeah. What do you think about Jolly? I thought that he was an original, humorous character. I'd like to see him make a comeback.

He's really just hilarious. lol. He's probably one of the first openly gay characters in a children's video game.

I don't have an opinion. He's just a character - gay or not, doesn't matter to me, and it's not really funny.
Also, I don't remember him ever actually "coming out" and "being open" about his homosexualness, Bottles98. |

My only problem with him is that he's a stereotype. It doesn't necessarily offend me, but I just don't understand why rare would throw in a character like that. It just seems completely random and pointless.
Or maybe there's a lot about british humor I just don't understand. They think drag is absolutely the funniest thing in the entire world (It's wierd alright, but not all that funny). I guess I really couldn't say unless I knew exactly why they made him so obviously fruity. |

traditionally drag refers to, like jason was saying, someone who dresses as the opposite sex. Jolly may not be a drag queen, but he certainly is flamboyant, and wears girlish pink pants. Them tea-lovers eat that sh*t up. No offense to anyone british. I meant that jokingly. I'm a big flying circus/monty python fan. And actually to be honest I haven't really accomplished everything in jolly roger's lagoon, so I haven't really had to deal with the character all that much... I suppose that may change my opinion of him. Last edited by B-R-E-T; 5th April 2007 at 06:16 AM. |

Jolly's incredibly cool. So that means I like him. The only time I want to get rid of him is during the Jukebox; his tapping is so annoying! You'd have thought Rare would implement the Jukebox somewhere other than the tavern (or at least not have Jolly tap for everyone to see).

I bet when Rare said they'll give Jolly a bigger part, he'll turn out to be Banjo-Threeie's villian.
Jolly is hilariously awesome. |
