yes. it seems like that. I extracted the demo to my computer and analyzed it for a while with Hex Workshop,I have found many SNS items hidden on the demo. looks like Rare gave us a lot more of what we expected. let's hope that the demo isn't RSA protected beacuse that would mean we could actually edit the hex values of the game, rehash the archive, run custom Xex, and resign the game to it's original CON archive .

Anybody else get the feeling this was done intentionally, so we could find out how Stop 'n' Swop was meant to be done?

Rare hasn't thrown us a bone yet, but this might be it. I pray to god it isn't a protected file. And anyway, how did you dump the demo into your computer?

I hooked up my HDD with an Xport to my computer, I kept exploring the partions and extracted the demo archive to my computer.

Not if it's just to your own console. And you could give instructions on how to edit the demo.

But yes, this shows that Rare fans are the most hardcore of them all, even if Banjo is mostly a child's game

Know what I find strange about it?

In all the incidences, it's been spelt as 'stopnswap', when on the original two, it was always misspelt 'Stop 'n' Swop'...

I'd recommend you sending these files to Runehero, here at the forums. He seems to know a good bit about hacking, and could probably piece together what all this is, and how it works, etc.

Also, great find! We really ARE raping this demo, but that's what you'd expect from the RWP.
