How about Gregg Mayles?
He was the director/main producer of both Kazooie and Tooie. He still works at Rare though. |

I thought what Rare calls the "Banjo Team" was also responsible for GBTG, that means most of the people still work(ed) there.

Perhaps they were just avid Nintendo fanboys whose dream was to work for Rare but only develop for Nintendo consoles/handhelds. Thus, resulting in their departure after Microsoft purchased Rare, which would make them inept at developing for Nintendo consoles.

Note that testers, members of the R&D department, and other non-design-related employees qualify as "people."
Gregg Mayles is still at Rare, and hard at work on Viva PiƱata.
